Setting the default authentication policy

Use the Authentication page to configure the default authentication policy in PingOne.

The default authentication policy doesn’t apply to the PingOne admin console. The admin console uses a system policy configured in Settings > Administrator Security instead of the default policy. You can’t assign a different policy to the admin console.

Steps

  1. In the PingOne admin console, go to Authentication > Authentication and browse or search for the policy that you want to set as the default.

  2. Click the Expand icon to expand the policy, and then click the Pencil icon.

  3. At the top of the page, under the policy name, click Make Default.
